I was initially wary of outsourcing to freelancers who were 'non-staff'. However, VAs have huge advantages as you can hire on a project-by-project basis. Once I'd hired my first VA and realized how great it was, I started hiring them by the dozen. If you haven't hired a VA before, go for it! You don't know what you're missing out on.
